DAPON The Mirror, located at Tangla, Udalguri District, a rural place in Assam was established on 17th September 2003 and got its Registration No. UDGI/262/A/14 of 2006 under the Indian Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 with a firm objective for the promoting, propagation and preservation of culture Heritage in the country at large and promotion and Enhance of Theatre movement in the country in particular. This group has its own theatre complex area of 2 acre known as DAPPON CULTURAL COMPLEX at Tangla bordering Bhutan.
Almost 70 dwarfs, ranging from one-and-a-half feet to three feet in height, across Assam will soon have a place to live in with dignity and comfort, with a theatre actor setting up a village with houses adapted to their stature. Pabitra Rabha, a National School of Drama (NSD) graduate and a theatre personality of the state, is setting up the special home for these short people in Jalah village near Tangla in lower Assam's Udalguri district, about 90 km away from the state's main city of Guwahati.
